It ALWAYS sounds better on Big Speakers

The Sonos adverts are really very slick, this one featuring Paul Rudd and Rashida Jones and a clip from "I love You, Man" really strikes a chord with me.

Personally, I enjoy nothing more than listening to music on my sound system. That chill that runs down your spine when Adele hits those special notes, the way that the hair on the back of your neck stands up and you get goosebumps - You aren't going to get that on a cheap system, or listening on your laptop.

And you know what, you're missing out. Really, Nothing can relax you or provoke emotion the same as great music, and it's not about volume, it's about depth and nuance. So if you haven't already got a great sounding music system, get one and enjoy listening to your music on a whole new level.

Roth Oli Speakers are on their way down to Phuket

Our first shipment of Roth Oli speakers are on their way down to Phuket from Bangkok, they cleared Thai customs last week.  

We are really looking forward to these, I personally watched as they boxed and loaded them from the factory in the UK on my recent visit.

I will be reserving at least a couple of pairs for myself and will be making some available for a radio competition some point before Xmas.

Apart from that we've got pallets of them to sell, so if you're in the market for some great sounding, great looking speakers - you know where to come.

Why you need to control light in a projector based Home Cinema

I was doing an install up in Hua Hin, Thailand recently and had to do most of the cinema setup during the day, it's a dedicated home theatre room so it was easy to keep the curtains closed.  At one point during the install whilst I was tweaking the on screen image someone opened the curtains momentarily.

It served as a reminder as to why you need to control light, I decided to take the following photos of the screen showing exactly the same image, 1st with the curtains closed and 2nd one with a curtain open. The screen completely washed out, I couldn't discern any image whatsoever.  This is a bright-ish projector on a Gray screen.

Amazon Echo's stealth infiltration of the Smart Home

Interesting Article about how Amazon (the online shop - not the Thailand coffee chain) is leading the way in the Smart Home industry. Without a booth or a logo in sight at this years COnsumer Electronics Show (CES 2016) Amazons Alexa is weaving it's way into smart home products such as speakers, home security and CCTV systems and even Ford cars.

H3 Logo Graffiti spray

A couple of weeks ago we had a Bangkok based Graffiti artist fly down and spend a few days spray painting our company cars.

MisterBows did a great job, I was a little worried about the new pickup but it looks great and is exactly what we were after. A retro Mad Max type look.

Our new logo represents the 3 main areas that we work in, Home Cinema, Audio, and Lighting Control.

New office construction

Our new office is currently under construction, we think it will be finished by early-mid 2016.

We've been going since 2004, recently there have been some company changes towards a more exciting environment, after all we started the company because we love technology.

The products we sell, Sonos, Nuvo, Home Cinemas are all really fun, enjoyable technologies and our new office is going to reflect that.

It will be a container office and warehouse, open plan and with a lot of demo space, including a commercial sound system (clubs, bars, restaurants) demo area.

We're really looking forward to it.
